Austin Turns 4!

Austin turned 4 on the 24th! I can't believe that my baby is 4!!! He woke up Thursday to a surprise present waiting for him in the backyard. Sorry, that's his breakfast still in his mouth.

After an eventful morning, we went on to school and celebrated with homemade cupcakes, which Austin helped make. He was especially helpful at cleaning the icing from the beaters!

At home that night we fixed his favorite meal, Red Spaghetti! It was yummy as always.

Then the next day, Austin got to have a friend come over and play ALL DAY! They had so much fun and played outside on the new swing set, riding the jeep, playing in the sandbox and playing with the big box the swing set came it. They even had a picnic outside for lunch. Then that night for supper we invited all the family over for supper and birthday cake. So, we celebrated for two days, but what fun we had and what great memories Austin has made.

Happy B'day Austin! He is so sweet in class on Wed. nights. The cake turned out great. I am always impressed with you moms that bake and ice your own cakes. Supermom title, you deserve!!

We had a great time, flood and all. You did a great job with the cake. Brooks came home talking about what kind of cake he wanted for his next b-day, and the next,...and even the next!

When I saw Austin tonight at church, I thought to myself that he is looking so mature. And I didn't even know he had just had a birthday! The cake and party look great. How did you keep the swing set construction a secret??

Pappy came while we were at school one afternoon. We kept the blinds closed too! Because it was a Wed. Austin got a bath and then got to watch cartoons in our room. He only asked one time why the blinds were down and was satisfied with my answer (because it was hot outside). It was a fun surprise! And a big thanks to Pappy!!!
